The Life Cycle of a Frog

The Life Cycle of a Frog
In a frogs life cycle there are three stages: the Egg,larva, and adult. Frogs are amphibians, which means that they can live in water or on land. They go through several stages of life before they become adult frogs and during those stages, they live only in water.

 Egg
The first stage is the egg.The female frog lays lots of eggs at one time in a pond.Egg should float to the top of the surfers in mass or big clusters. The eggs are probably the size of peas and feel like jelly but you should never touch them because it can harm then and then in the center of the egg there is a little black dot.which makes it look like an eye.

 Tadpole
Next part is the hatching.when they first hatch the tadpole looks more like a fish than a frog at this point think it's because when they are this young they don’t have any legs so if you think about it they basically are fish. Another thing that makes them very similar is that have gilles so they can breath under water.now all they do at this stage is swim, eat, and grow for a few weeks.what do they eat you ask plants and algae from the water but they will only eat the plant if it is nice and soft for them to eat because they cant chew things very easy.but they also start to grow lungs in this time so when they are a frog they can breath out of water.then they start to grow there hind legs. Now it can lep around everywhere instead of swimming.Although the tadpole is starting to look a little more like a frog it still has a very long tail!

 Young
Frog Now this is the interesting part! The very first stage of a young frog is that it grows its front legs but it should already have its back ones thought. The tail begins to get shorter and shorter and they get older. The tadpole,Frog starts to use the nutrients stored in its tail as food so until its tail is completely gone it doesn’t need anything else to eat! Then just a little stub of its tail is left and the tadpole is a young frog. It hops right out of the water and onto dry land for the first time!
The frog is still very small.

 Adult Frog
Now frome here on the frog just needs grow nice and big.The little stubby tail will eventually disappear and the frog will start to eat insects and bugs instead of plants from the water. The little frog will grow really big and it will take about to 2-4 years for the frog to be fully grown and then the frog will then make its own family and lay some egg itself in a pond and then the cycle start all over again.

I hope you indeed reading mt life cycle I know I definitely enjoyed writing it I hope you learnt lots from this because I know I did and maybe now you could go out and buy a tadpole and watch it grow and you would know all the things about it how to keep a live what it eats what it likes.
